Back in the days of 1.4MB floppydisks it was easy to zip large files and spread them over several disks... Nowadays, files can have sizes of more than 1 gigabyte, and splitting those files isn't as easy as it seems.We have tried Cian File Splitter 3.30 Pro to split our 290MB large mysql backup into several smaller pieces to send it over email. The program had no difficulties whatsover taking on the huge textfile and splitting it in several files. We were able to password protect the files for securing our precious data. We were able to rejoin the seperate files without having the program installed on the destination computer, which was a real good point in our oppinion.
